In 2015, he then joined the German National Team for the qualifiers of Euro 2016. His international debut happened in May 2016 when the team was in a friendly match against Slovakia. In this match, he was able to conceal two goals. However, Germany lost this match and he was substituted by Marc-André ter Stegen in the 46th minute.

Fast forward to 2016 when Leno finally signed a five-year contract with Arsenal. This contract is worth 22.5 million pounds and based on reports, Leno is now earning 100,000 pounds weekly. It’s still unknown whether Leno will extend his stay with Arsenal after his contract expires next year.

  • Jordan Pickford from Everton

Jordan Lee Pickford is a British footballer born on March 7, 1994. He started taking football seriously at the age of eight when he joined the Sunderland Academy. This was when he was able to sign for the club on a two-year scholarship.

He started playing for England in 2011 at the FIFA Under -17 World Cup and European Under -17 Championship. In 2012, he was then loaned to Darlington. The following year, he was loaned in Alfreton. In 2015, he appeared at the FA Cup clash against Arsenal.

It was on June 15, 2017, when Pickford signed a five-year contract with Everton with an initial fee of 25 million pounds with the possibility of earning as much as 30 million pounds. This made him one of the most expensive goalies in the EPL and currently, he earns around 100,160 pounds a week.

  • Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester City

Kasper Schmeichel was born on November 5, 1986, and he is also known as the son of Danish international goalkeeper and former Manchester United star Peter Schmeichel.

Kasper is known to have started his professional football career with Manchester City in 2002 where he signed long term contract that also covered his scholarship. In 2006, he joined the League Two side Darlington, but he then returned to Manchester City after two more Darlington appearances.

Throughout his career, he’s been part of Notts County, Leeds United, and now he is the goalkeeper of Leicester City. He’s been with this football club since 2011 and he has renewed his contract with this club that would last until 2023. It is reported that he is now earning 130,000 pounds a week.

  • Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea

Arrizabalaga is a Spanish footballer born on October 3, 1994. He joined the youth ranks of Athletic Bilbao but it was in 2012, after he graduated from the youth academy, that he has joined the CD Basconia, which is the feeder club of Athletic Bilbao.

In 2017, he became a part of the Spanish National Squad, and after a few appearances on the bench, he debuted in a match with Costa Rica where the Spanish squad won with a 5-0 score. He did sign a contract with Athletic Bilbao in 2018, but on August 8, 2018, the club reported that Arrizabalaga paid his release clause worth 80 million pounds to join Chelsea with a seven-year contract. It is reported that he is now earning 150,000 pounds a week as Chelsea’s goalkeeper.

  • David de Gea from Manchester United

David de Gea is a Spanish footballer born on November 7, 1990. It just makes a lot of sense that de Gea is now the highest-paid goalkeeper in the world because he is considered as one of the best goalkeepers out there.

His professional career started in 2008 with Atlético. He started his career with Manchester United in 2011. His first appearance with the club was with a friendly match with Chicago Fire. Since then, he’s been part of the Red Devils and it is reported that he is now earning over 300,000 pounds each week. De Gea will be staying for four more years with Manchester United as he just recently signed a contract renewal with the team.
